Quick setup overview:

Samsung Frame TV on one wall in the bedroom, two Music frames set up on the opposite wall facing the television (bedside tables).

When Q Symphony is engaged, the volume randomly goes up and down. The volume guide doesn't appear, and I don't believe the volume setting is actually changing, but it goes from quiet one moment to loud the next. Not ideal for a bedroom setup.

Hi Fritztkat,

Sorry to hear that your Q-Symphony setup is experiencing volume-balancing issues, likely due to how the TV and Music Frames (acting as speakers) are syncing audio output.

Please ensure both the Samsung Frame TV and the Music Frames have the latest firmware updates installed.

Go to your TV’s sound settings and confirm that Q-Symphony is enabled correctly. Ensure that no other external audio devices (e.g., a soundbar) are interfering.

Try toggling Q-Symphony off and back on to reinitialize the sync between devices.

Temporarily disable Q-Symphony and use only the TV speakers or the Music Frames independently. If the volume fluctuations disappear, the issue likely lies with Q-Symphony’s coordination.

If nothing works, then as a last resort please perform a factory reset of the sound settings on your TV Settings > Sound > Reset Sound) Reconfigure Q-Symphony after the reset.

While troubleshooting, you can manually adjust the audio output to either the TV speakers or Music Frames alone for a stable experience during bedtime use.

Thank you.

Thanks for the response
I have done all of these, except reset the TV. I will try that this weekend.

The volumn changes seem to be connected with the content being played. For example;

A Marvel movie will play at one level and suddenly get very loud during the Marvel logo.

Or watching a show and the volumn will change when the actors/dialogue changes.

Hi Fritztkat,

We appreciate your efforts in performing all the possible troubleshooting. Before performing Reset, please try the instructions below to open the Q-Symphony Setup menu on your Smart TV and configure your desired audio settings.

From the Home screen, navigate to Settings, then select All Settings, and then select Sound > Select Q-Symphony Setup > Select your soundbar or Music Frame, and then select Apply > Soundbars or Music Frames connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the TV will appear in the device list. Soundbars connected using HDMI or optical cables will also appear in the device list. Follow the on-screen instructions if necessary. The TV’s sound output will be set to Q-Symphony.

To turn off Q-Symphony, navigate back to Sound, then select Sound Output, and then select TV Speaker. The TV will now use its own speaker.

Thank you.

I beleive I have done this. I also took the step to visually setup the TV with the two Music Frames (part of this step on the Sound Settings). IE - TV on once wall and the two Music Frames on the wall, left and right, facing the TV. No soundbar - just the TV and two frames.

I have an update, and it involved a vacuum and a Samoyed. While running the vacuum cleaner, my Samoyed was barking her fool head off. If you know Samoyeds, you’ll know they have one of the loudest barks around. At the same time, I had the TV on, and the volume kept jumping between barks, going up and down.

Out of curiosity, I decided to reset the volume settings on the TV. Since then, the sound has worked perfectly, providing immersive surround sound just as it should.

It turns out the solution was simple all along: a noisy combination of vacuuming and a barking Samoyed pointed me to the problem.
