The Galaxy S25 is built with a more powerful processor and display technology compared to the which can sometimes result in the device feeling warmer — even during light tasks like watching YouTube.
The device shouldn't become uncomfortably hot during normal use. To help manage this, please try the following:
Check for Software Updates: Go to Settings > Software update > Download and install to ensure you have the latest system optimizations and thermal control patches.
Close Background Apps: Use the Recent Apps button to close unused apps running in the background.
Enable Battery & Device Care: Go to Settings > Battery and device care > Optimize now. This helps manage power-hungry apps that might be contributing to the heating.
Remove Case Temporarily: Some cases can trap heat. Try using the device without a case during video streaming and see if that helps reduce warmth.
Use Adaptive Brightness: Keeping brightness too high can generate extra heat. Turn on adaptive brightness in Settings > Display.
We’re constantly working to improve device performance through updates, so please also report this through the Samsung Members app: Samsung Members > Get Help > Send Feedback > Error Reports.
