When ever you take a screen shot the screen flash but nothing gets saved and noting pops up proving that a screen shot was taken. And if you try again the entire screens touch stops working and you can't use you screen and you have to hard restart you phone. This is a very stupid problem that started happening after I updated my phone.

Please help me if anyone got a solution.

Hi noore,

We understand how frustrating it is when core features like screenshots stop working, especially after a software update. Try the following steps to resolve the issue:

Clear Cache partition:

Power off your phone

Press & hold Volume Up + Power until the Samsung logo appears

Use Volume buttons to highlight "Wipe cache partition"

Press Power to select

Choose Yes, then select "Reboot system now"

This won’t delete your data and can fix issues after an update.

Boot in Safe Mode (to rule out third-party conflicts): Press and hold Power > Tap and hold "Power off" > Safe Mode. Try taking a screenshot in Safe Mode. If it works, a third-party app may be causing the issue.

Use Key Combo Instead of Gestures (or vice versa). Try using Power + Volume Down if you normally swipe, or vice versa.

If none of the above works: Open Samsung Members app > Support > Error reports. Select System > Screenshots not working. Include logs right after reproducing the issue

Let us know how it goes!

Thank you.

I tired it but it is still the same. It works like 40% of the time and the other 60% it freezes up.

Double check your albums then select you recent album. You might find your screenshot. Or just click the photos tab on the bottom left in the gallery app1751304911479.jpg

Thats not the issue first thing I checked. Plus if it was the phone wouldn't freeze. But I see how other people might have this.

If you have GoodLock's Nice Shot installed, Go to Settings > Apps & Search for Nice Shot. Click on it & Scroll down to Storage & Clear Both Cache & Data for the app and Reboot.

See if that fixes the issue for you?

You can also use AI Select, from the edge panels. This is what I use daily
