I have two TVs connected to a Shaw Direct TV satellite receiver - I just replaced one with a new Samsung 65Q80T connected via HDMI and now when I switch to the other TV (connected via component cables) a window pops up saying "A non-HDCP Compliant device has been detected. Video output may be disabled until the device is disconnected from the HDMI output of your satellite receiver." So I have to unplug the HDMI cable going to the new Samsung and reboot the receiver in order to get the picture back on the second TV.  This never happened when I had two Sony's hooked up.

Hi Orange6654, HDCP errors generally indicate a problem with the physical connection or communication between your device and TV. You will get an HDCP error if you try watching HDCP encoded content when using an HDMI cable. If one device or cable isn’t HDCP compliant then you get an HDCP error.

I suggest you to update the firmware on Shaw direct TV and check if that resolves the issue.

Thank you. I was able to contact Shaw Direct TV and by unplugging everything and then them refreshing the receiver the problem seems resolved. Thank you. I'm impressed with your response time and resolution (faster than Shaw Direct J ).

Only connect the new TV via HDMI. If all functionality works (you can view all channels) without issue, then the Shaw to Samsung connection is fine. In that case, call Shaw.
