The one ui 7 update just got installed into my phone, and it really ***. Everything on my home screen changed including the widgets. Everything is round and big, which makes really annoying and difficult to navigate. The tab slides and notifications changed, which makes it harder to navigate. Even the battery icon is bugging me.

And it's not just the aesthetics, I noticed that the battery seems to be going down faster. Before, it would be able to last for 2 days without usage, but for some reason now it can only last up to less than 24 hours.

Is there a way to revert it back to the previous version, ui 6.11? Or get rid of this update altogether? Or perhaps come out with a new update that fixes everything and can revert everything back to normal? I may just reconsider buying a different brand, because I know this hasn't happened to just me, and this update is just really bad overall.

Hi,

We completely understand your frustration. The transition to One UI 7 has brought significant visual and functional changes.

Unfortunately, downgrading to One UI 6.1.1 isn’t officially supported. However, you can customize the layout using Home screen settings.

Restore Home Screen Layout: Long-press the home screen > Tap Settings > Home screen layout to adjust icon size, grid, and layout.

For battery issues, try turning off RAM Plus and check for any unusual background app activity.

Go to Settings > Battery > Usage to spot any unusual app drain. Turn off RAM Plus (Settings > Device Care > Memory > RAM Plus).

If the drain is new post-update, it's often due to background indexing. A few full charge cycles may help.

Please submit error report using the Samsung Members app > Support > Error reports or Suggestions to share your experience. Many changes in future updates are driven by user input.

We'll be forwarding this feedback internally to the software team. Hopefully, future updates will offer more flexibility or a fix for the performance and battery concerns.

Thank you for your feedback.
