With the arrival of the One UI V6.1 Update, Samsung has finally addressed the issue of static pixels on the Display.

That's awesome, but what is the protection? I see my clock, notifications and battery status stay in one place at all times, so what is this mysterious burn-in protection Samsung has decided users are satisfied with?

I think that it's in the upcoming update.. but I don't know if it's all devices presently or?

It should be a hardly noticeable pixel shift.

If you could take a few screen shots & superimpose them, the result should be blurry.

Thanks for the info and suggestion ...I had taken a screenshot shortly after getting my S24+ but didn't notice any movement at all, so hopefully you're correct and an upcoming update will address it. It used to be obvious, but now I just don't want to take a chance until I know for sure.

Here is evidence that Pixel Shift is working on the S23 Ultra One UI V6.1

I took 4 screen shots over about an hour & superimposed them.

You can clearly see the blurring of the Status Bar Icons.

vs the next screen shot.

Thanks for the update! I thought I had tried that with my S24+, but since I cannot seem to be able to screen shot the AOD screen, maybe I didn't. How do you take a screen shot of the AOD ...the usual methods I use don't work on the AOD.

To take a screen shot of AOD, Simultaneously & Quickly Click on the Power + Volume DOWN.

Never mind.. That's the LockScreen, not AOD... Yeah I don't think that it's possible to get a screen shot of the AOD.

Good to know, thanks! Recently, I would put a piece of tape down marking the spot the clock is in and waiting ages to see if there was any movement, but absolutely none that I could notice.

A pixel is pretty small.. I think that it'd be really hard to notice a shift.

You can see that even with superimposed images, it's a very small amount of movement.. Maybe over a longer period of time, it might be more?

Understood ...appreciate your thoughts on this. Since it doesn't really seem to be talked about on the S24 series, maybe I've been making a big deal about a non-issue.
