You guys possibly understand what exactly I mean, I understand one ui 7 integrated tizen os which is why it toke soo long, but the mistake they made was didn't start early build test in october 2024 and beta in November, they delayed it to mid December which didn't give them enough time and the s25 series launched with one ui 7 beta it wasn't running the final built and it toke 4-5 month when the s25 series received one ui 7 while other OEMs where close to android 16 stable launch, moving fast forward they delayed one ui 8 for s25 series it wasn't quick, they waited 8-10 weeks after the zfold 7 luanch before s25 and s24 series got the update, they should've skipped one ui 7 for older devices just like they skipped one ui 7 for watch and should've started one ui 8 early test build late April to early May, than start the beta in late May, this could've prevented the delay and we could've gotten one ui 8 for s25 series by late July to early august. Moving forward they should start beta testing this month rather than waiting next month for one ui 8.5 so we could recieve one ui 8.5 stable for 2025 and 2024 flagship by end of janurary and 2023 and 2022 flagship by mid feburary which would allow them to start early test build for one ui 9 android 17 in march a bit after google start test build for android 17, than start public beta late April to early may this will prevent one ui 9 delay and we could finally get one ui 9 in summer rather than waiting for fall would put competition on apple, also please move to quarterly drop feature this way we could get a more stable update, samsung should adapt to quarterly feature drop instead of biannually, their is no need for beta testing for a series instead they should jump straight to stable as s series are priority not every single devices need beta testing

One UI V7.0 did not integrate Tizen. One UI V7.0 is based on Android 15. One UI is replacing Tizen on Samsung devices, including TVs etc...

As for the rest....

The last Samsung phones to use Tizen, was back in 2017, and never in North America.

Hi qwer123.

Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback regarding the rollout strategy for One UI updates. Your observations reflect a deep understanding of the development and release cycles, and we appreciate the time and effort you've taken to outline potential improvements.

We acknowledge the concerns surrounding the timing of early build testing and beta releases, particularly with One UI 7 and One UI 8. As you noted, the integration of Tizen OS and the complexity of supporting a wide range of devices can contribute to delays. Your suggestion to initiate earlier testing phases and streamline the rollout process—especially for flagship devices—is well taken.

The idea of adopting a quarterly feature drop model, similar to other platforms, is also valuable. It could offer users more consistent enhancements while reducing the wait time between major updates. Additionally, your recommendation to prioritize stable releases for key devices without extensive beta testing is a perspective that will be shared with the relevant teams.

We truly appreciate your engagement and constructive input. Feedback like yours plays an important role in shaping future development strategies and improving the overall user experience.
