if your phone is running fine I wouldn't really worry about the RAM usage. only if it's glitching or running slow that's when you should worry about it. most modern smartphones today have more RAM than you will ever really need or really use.
your looking at battery info not ram usage and I wouldn't worry about it, I'd also set it to goto sleep when your done unless you use the messaging part alot
