Purchased this

Samsung 85" Q70A QLED 4K UHD Smart TV on 2021-11-26 from the Brick for $3400.00 didn’t think to purchase an extended warranty because I spent so much money to never imagine the encounter I would have with this unit. The tv has been in the same place since day one with no problems whatsoever and suddenly half my screen goes black. After calling the service centre that Samsung had recommended to me. The representative clearly explained to me that the TV was not worth repairing because it would actually cost more than the unit itself, and Samsung is notorious for these issues with the backlight going bad, and even after replacing the backlight it occurs again and again. He mentioned that Samsung will not accommodate their customers. He also stated that he would not recommend that I purchase another Samsung product again and try to go to other brands like Sony, etc.  After explaining the situation to Samsung. They will not do anything for me because it’s been two years. I purchased a Panasonic 3D TV in the past for under $2000.00 from teppermans and it’s lasted for almost 9 years now and still working perfectly fine. I will never recommend any Samsung products to any friends or family members ever again!!! Plus on top of it all I had the worst customer service experience. I was told to provide a receipt which I did and then they basically said they can’t do nothing for me after I was initially told something can be done for me for the inconvenience? Lie after lie!!! Should change your name to Sadsung !!!

I would find some online forums and research it a bit more. If the tv is only 2 years old, how would they know that they repeatedly fail after replacement?

If you would live in Québec, it would be another story. Here we have a law protecting the customers. It's called costumer protection. Depending the price the costumer paid, it could be 5-6-years after the initial warranty

I'm going through a similar issue now with my 85" Crystal UHD TV. I'm 2 months past my 2 year store warranty and so far they seem to be unwilling to take any accountability for the problem or make it right. This is the last Samsung product I purchase. Highly disappointed.
