Hi everyone! So I have the most frustrating issue. I bought a freestyle from a well known auction house and was sold as working... as you can guess it didn't work as such. So it turns on and makes all the noises you would expect and even the lens focuses when you change surfaces etc but no picture. Spoke to samsung and honestly have been 0 help because there's no serial number (due to it being a sticker which was removed before I had it). Anyway.. I stripped the projector down to ensure all internal connections are good to which they are however when i opened the lens/lamp casing the glass which I believe is there to direct the image etc has all but melted! Il try to attach a photo. I'm more then happy to fix it myself but samsung cannot provide a part number and say they can't get it. I've spoken to the suggested parts people as suggested by samsung customer service but no one seems to have anything of the sort. Has anyone had this issue and resolved it themselves? I'm assuming if I had the serial number and been able to send it to samsung for repair they would have just sent me a brand new one due to this clearly being a known issue.
