Samsung seems to favour mid range devices

According to the article from sammobile.com - It seems that Samsung looks after it's mid range devices before addressing the Security of it's so called "flagship" devices.... While I'm sure that those who purchased the economy models are pleased - Samsung makes a lot of "fanfare" when introducing "the next best thing".... that also carries a "flagship" Price! How's this for a Corporate slogan "The Best or Nothing".....

Ya and also Samsung delays security updates for the sake of adding features. Why not do same month security update and delay feature to next months?

My next phone will be mid range phone. Like laptops, phones have hit the ceiling and only difference now is who is fastest and lightest. No change in battery or screen.

He'll even performance is not that great. A8 midrange phone has same 4gb ram as S9 and ive notified it is not enough when I'm gaming.

Not really, the article just mentions that some midrange phones might get security patch earlier. Security patches ain't everything. Also, the amount of low and mid range phone Samsung releases weekly to different countries and regions is staggering. Only very few of them will receive any update whatsoever.
And to the above guy named Google ^, ram is nothing for gaming, main components are cpu & gpu which powers ultra high games.
Anyway btw, sorry to spoil but that corporate slogan you mentions is already taken by Mercedes-Benz xD

Oh! Lol, Samsung is more like Volkswagen though hehe. Endless products covering different types of budget... I think Apple is the only company that doesn't make anything cheap, all other OEMs I can think of make both cheap and expensive products.

Dude, are you a kid? If you've great Cpu and GPU 1GB Ram is enough to run all the games in highest resolution. Why do you think iPhones have less ram than low end android phones and still plays better graphics games? Because of it's processor. Learn facts first yourself from Internet. You can find 6GB Ram Chinese phone for $150 bucks, but all apps will crash because cpu is 1ghz. Ram is nothing.

I wonder why gaming pc have ram requirements if CPU is everything. In fact, if you ever run games, you'll see the CPU isnt used entirely and always GPU or ram holding it back first. You need more ram for higher resolution

If you have less ram but higher processor and GPU, you can play highest resolution games. If you've 100GB Ram with low quality CPU and GPU, you can't even start the game!
Now go figure.
