Othersso this happens occasionally. I was on ps5 it updated software. this happened on hdmi2. so i move to hdmi 1. NO ISSUE..turn on my ps4 on hdmi2... DIFFERENT HDMI CABLE, same issue (this video is of hdmi2). I tried explaining that HDMI2, has issues to IT Electronic and Samsung and BOTH BLAMED CONSOLES. i have 8 hdmi cables. 3 new that are 2.1 and can handle 60hz and 120hz and output at 4k... i have used both a 2.0, and 2.1 cable on hdmi 2 after this happened. So what the hell is going on?
i literally have to shut down the tv, safe boot the console or whatever is in hdmi2 and change resolution BEFORE going back.
this is a major headache and im legit tried of tech dummies and samsungs crap. I need a community answer.
1. MY TV IS UPDATED TO LATEST FIRMWARE
2. MY CONSOLES ARE LATEST FIRMWARE
3. IT ONLY HAPPENS OCCASIONALLY ON HDMI2
4. YES IVE TRIED OTHER CONSOLES AND LAPTOPS, IN HDMI 2.
To whomever answers, thank you. This is frustrating and samsung is hardly any help.

If you just updated your tv I can understand 🤔
but you said...
"I was on ps5 it updated software"
🤦
Id start looking at that 1st 👍
It may be a glitch with the tv? Are the hdmi ports different in anyway other than being 1 and 2?
And if it works in hdmi1, I'd leave it there until its fixed obviously🤷

you missed it, tvs latest firmware was Nov 2020
this issue has happened before...
my ps5 was originally on hdmi 2 working, when i got a notification to update the console firmware. So i did that, and when consoles update they often restart. So, restart, tv issue (still hdmi in hdmi2), so to see the picture i put the ps5 hdmi cable into hdmi1 and the ps5 was fine.
so then i plugged my ps4 hdmi cable into the now vacant hdmi 2 and the problem continued until i had to hard reset/safe mode etc the console. Obviously the ps4 uses a different hdmi cable and i tried 2 others.
thing is now the ps4 works on hdmi 2. im sure the ps5 would again but this **bleep** happens and its probably a faulty hdmi2 port but samsung is too **bleep** stupid to admit it.

Hdmi1 is ARC. that's the only difference. Again, the ps5 updating has notning to do with it . ANYTHING plugged into hdmi2 sometimes has this issue and its a pain to deal with.
