OthersSoundbar on ARC vs Bluetooth SoundConnect
Hi I have a Samsung soundbar, I was previously using it with Bluetooth sound connect. I recently switched over to HDMI ARC because I heard HDMI gives a better quality sound. One thing I’ve noticed is that on my media, for example Netflix when I’m using ARC I have to put the volume much higher than when I did on my old set up. For instance, using Bluetooth the volume I’d get on a setting of 25 in ARC I need to be closer to 33-35. Also my TV (S95C) gives me the option of auto, PCM, and pass through in soundbar output. My current setting is auto. Should my settings be different? Thanks

OthersHi, please disconnect the external device from the TV, then power off the TV and soundbar, and then power both devices back on.
Then, check if the sound outputs normally.
- To use ARC, you will need to activate the ARC function on your TV. Navigate to Settings > All Settings > Sound > Expert Settings > HDMI-ARC > Auto.
- ARC may not operate because of external device problems. To fix this, disconnect the external device from the TV, then power off the TV and sound bar, and then power both devices back on. Then, check if the sound outputs normally.
- If the HDMI cable is defective, please replace the cable.
