It just disappeared overnight and it's not on my widget list anymore. I use it everyday, how do I get it back?!

on that note, the lockscreen Spotify widget is still not functional ...when wanting to stop listening to music we can't ... need to unlock phone.

@Flutterby Spotify has had a lot of negative comments regarding the decision to remove the widget on the last update, they are considering bringing it back if they get enough people voting to do so, leave a comment on the app's review section to get your vote in

your not alone I just updated my spotify and I lost my widget what the **bleep**. that's the main part of my life style without music I'm lost and cranky.

It's coming back

Spotify seemed very sure of its decision to kill the Android app's widget a few weeks back, but now it's reversing course. After hearing from many, many customers, Spotify has announced that it will bring the widget back soon. The developers have made improvements to performance and visuals for the widget, and Spotify will restore the widget in a future app update. The "Live Idea" for bringing back the widget has changed from "Not right now" to "Watch this space" as a result. We don't know when the widget will come back, but it's happening. You did it, internet.
