OthersWhy would a person want this? Youve not mentioned whats the benefit??
Every desktop os since after cobol or eMACS runs in landscape since 1989 prettty much. Humans see better n more information in landscape - peripheral vision & all. Why go backwards in comouting? Im trying to understand the benefit of loosing screen real-estate & guving up a desktop platform to be limited to a portrait view??

OthersDex could be used 100% of the time if it rotated with the tablet. Turn on rotation lock if you don't want to use it a certain way.

OthersExample scrwwn rotarion is suported on MacOS and Windows as lawyers and IT techs heavily rely on the following apps used in portrait mode:
Lawyers: MS Word (for legal documents that tend to traditionally be 10's/100's of pages long and thus lots of longitudinal scrolling is required for proofreading).
I.T. Techs: MS Outlook for the number of emails, especially service desk tickets (email notifications) for triage.
^ that's 2 great big examples, corporate industry agnostic (financial, mining, research, etc) of use case or a reason why. Thia is what i was asking of you, for example.
It helps to state a reason why to implement a feature va juat requesting it. This helps Samsung, for example, understand the use case variables and refine the featyre if implemented to work better on the first roll-out; less gripes.
The 1920's Ford mantea of 'Build it they'll come' (or build it theyll take it/accept it) hasnt worked for decades and its poor to use when it comes to aofrwsre R&D and implementarion and cost perspective.
Not all apps will work well on a larger screen for 90 rotation for a desktop mode - especially when screen mirroring already exists and works well with a screen rotated to portrait mode. Thats why I'm suggesting to state a use case.
Cheers.
