I think my tv just died last night. From my research this is a common problem that plagued this model for years and a ton of other people had experienced the same problem as me with their own KS8000! My tv lasted 3 years and then boom! For no reason, vertical lines appears and started flickering! I bought this tv 3 years ago and it cost me $2000 cnd. At that price tag I was hoping it to last a little longer!!! I’am lost of words how disappointed I am about Samsung and their “quality” product!
Any help would be much appreciate. Thank you!

OthersResurrecting this thread because this just happened to me last night. I am "luckier" than most since ours lasted 5 years. I paid around $2.5K. Is the consensus simply to junk this? Has anyone had any luck? I am in Canada so probably not going to hear back from them even if I tried.

OthersGuys anyone still on this? I had 46 inch es8000 2012. That the was 1700 USD. Me and my dad bought it thinking for it to last and in just 4 years the lines came on. Company said panel failure and was charging 700 usd for repairs as the warranty we got was just for 3 years. Had the worst experience as this was our first premium range TV. After that we never bought any premium range, just the cheaper ones only. I mean today for 700 usd you can literally but 2 TVs of bigger size! And I really regret it because my dad was going for a Panasonic Plasma TV but on my my suggestion we bought this. And now there is nothing but regrets. After this TV my dad just refused to buy any good tvs, not even the mid tier ones because he realised that it's just worthless to spend that much on TVs especially samsung!
