Hello,

I've been having issues specifically with Atmos / Dolby on any external HDMI source that was set to play dolby/ atmos sounds.

I've had multiple calls with Samsung support and Samsung has tried a plethora of things and unfortunately none of them have helped.

The only relevant information I could find was this notice from Samsung US Vibrating or Buzzing sound from the TV speaker but after finding some videos on Samsung Community EU (video is a couple of posts down)  I see that the issue I have is definitely different.

Things that I have noticed:

- The pulsing sound exist whether I choose TV Speakers or the Sound Bar.

- The issue only happens when an external source is connected that is set to Dolby / Atmos.

- No issues with PCM sound format whatsoever.

- Tried three different devices with three different cables (Amazon Fire TV 4K Max, Roku, Playstation 5) and all suffer the same thing when Atmos / Dolby is selected, whether sound bar is connected or not, it makes no difference. This makes it extremely unlikely that all of those devices are broken and TV is functioning properly.

- If I disconnected EVERYTHING, the issue does not occur on native apps such as Netflix with Atmos content.

- It was advised that I "update" my TV. But the peculiar thing is that I already have the latest visible update which is 1302.2 as of writing this post.

- I went to a Best Buy location and we went to the About options of the same TV model and they seem to have 1304.2  !!! That is nowhere to be found online, at least not on Samsung US or Samsung Canada. I took a picture of it at the store just so that I can provide it later if Samsung needs it.

So I have a couple of choices:

1- This is a faulty unit and I ask Best Buy to do a replacement with the same model and hoping that one doesn't have any issues, I have about 3 weeks left.

2- Samsung mentioned there will be an update coming this week, wait and see if the update fixes it. But unfortunately I do not trust Samsung's release rollout (Anyone with a Samsung phone knows what I'm talking about). I don't want to run out of 30 day exchange / return warranty.

3- Schedule a technician to come check it for themselves, but I will be charged if they can't find any issues through their diagnostics with the TV.

If I'm the only one with this issue, then I would say this is definitely not a software update issue and the unit is defective.

But if there's anyone else experiencing this pulsating sound (not buzzing, not vibrating) please reply so we can get some traction.

Thanks.

Hi, we are really sorry to hear this issue from you.
We would like to inform you that we can offer a service if you like to examine the device by the technician.
If the technician finds no issues with the TV then unfortunately, it will be a paid diagnosis.
