Although Samsung is half a decade too late to add TD Bank into their Samsung Pay card list, still a good news. My question is, the Samsung Pay apps on the watch (Active 2) is it separate from the phone (S21U)?
It's because I installed and successfully setup Samsung Pay (verification, etc) on my phone but then on my watch it asked me to verify and activate again. When I try to open Samsung Pay on my watch, it asked me to enter pin (on that tiny screen).
My original thought if I have Samsung Pass on my phone, then I just need to activate NFC on my watch and tap. Am I doing it correctly? With TD mobile apps, I just need to activate NFC and tap, that's it but with Samsung Pay on my watch: open SP, press + hold back button, enter PIN, tap.
Hi bett3r, To make a payment, from the Watch screen, press and hold the Back key. Enter your four-digit PIN to verify your identity and then touch PAY. When your card displays, hold your watch near the NFC reader where you would swipe a payment card.
This is the only option to make payment from Galaxy Watch.
Note: An NFC reader is required to pay with Samsung Pay. It may be necessary to put your watch against the NFC reader for several seconds for the payment to register.
Pretty much answer question already. Samsung pay require authentic. There is no way around it. If you want that feature then you need to get galaxy watch 4/ classic 4 and install Google pay. TD Canada card doesn't work in Google than US TD. Just stick with phone for now or switch brand. Note: I only have Google pay on the watch and I haven't test samsung pay. Leave comment here. I try to test if I have another phone. Hoping another person has watch confirm. Galaxy watch 4 using different os and work slightly different. Samsung pay might work like mobile TD app.
Explain. Google pay in galaxy watch 4 uses wear os. Pay without require pin, but require a lockscreen when you remove watch. this is what you are looking for? Older watch tizen os. Pin always require tap to pay. you have active watch. There is no way around it. You can try look at lock setting if you can change it. If you can get it to change.
I do own tizen os gear s3 and using galaxy watch 4. I have not test samsung pay yet watch 4. I did mention. I need a phone for it. Samsung has weird restriction for samung pay. One watch for one phone except Samsung health or other apps. The reason if I tried it. Reset my gear s3. A lot work going back and forward. I had to dig around your watch info. 😕 I don't own previous watch. I can be wrong. I recommend check reddit. Give them shot if they can help or wait till morning.
