Samsung Pay will not verify my Scotia Bank debit card

For days I have been trying to load my Scotia Bank card into the Samsung pay app. It will not verify, just opens up my banking app and says, Sorry, we couldn't verify your card.  I used it all the time before i put my phone back to factory settings last week because the vibrate doesn't work anymore.  I called the bank, and it's oh sorry, we are having issues. So you are telling me that for years, you are having issues with the app? If that's the cause they need to hire new IT people who know what they are doing.

Is there any other way to get around this?  Or maybe is there a app that actually works? It appears Samsung is getting worse.  I'm at my limit with Samsung especially after this new One UI6 update that is trying to make our phones look like  *** *** iPhones.  HAha I am ranting.

Any info would be appreciated!

Did you try to verify on cell connectivity, not wifi. Sometimes, it does glitches.

This happened to me with CIBC bank. Looks like the bank blocked ur phone in their system. Everytime u try to add the card a token is created at the bank side and that is how they verify it and approve. If for any reason u delete the card or factory reset the bank will block ur phone and they wont see a token on their end to verify. So call and demand to speak to a supervisor from the digital department who knows how to do it. Dont talk to other departments cos they dont know anything abt it . Its not the problem of Samsung.

Call your bank if your card does not get approved. Only some banks work with Samsung wallet at this moment .

This happened with me too when I signed up for Samsung Wallet. All I had to do was call my bank and voila approved. 🙂

Hi, just to confirm have you contacted to your Bank ? if not please contact them as they have only access of it.

I did call my bank. They said they couldn't help me. I deleted the app, reinstalled it, and then 3 weeks later, my card finally started working. Useless bank.
