Every. Single. Time. I get into my car my phone prompts me to enter my password to unlock my secure folder.  When I do it eagerly asks me if I want to install Android Auto.  If I say yes, it fails to install.  If I say no, it waits until the next time I get into the car to ask me again.  I don't know if this is a Secure Folder bug or an Android Auto bug, but it's driving me a little crazy.  I have a Samsung Galaxy S9+ with all available updates.  My car, if that is important, is a BMW M235i, which was one of the first BMW cars to support Android Auto.  I've seen similar issues reported here and elsewhere, but none that have tied it to Android Auto.  This has been going on for quite some time, so I'm absolutely sure that Android Auto and nothing else is the instigator of this problem.  I have not found any setting that would seem to govern this behavior.  I thought of trying to turn off some kind of notifications, but there is no obvious app, and this doesn't behave like a notification in any event.  If you need a bug report, let me know, and I'll capture it the next time it happens.

got exactly the same problem in Skoda Enyaq.

We should have a setting in the Android Auto menu which apps should be visible or asked for access.

Same problem with my S9 and new VW Polo. My old Polo with AA was fine, the new one prompts me to unlock at putting in the key and then again when starting the engine. I'm at the point of disabling AA or SF altogether.

I believe it's because secure folder contains contacts. Who needs contacts in a secure folder? Why isn't there an option to disable that?

Hi, We request you to register an Error Report from the Samsung Members app by attaching the system logs.

Open the Samsung Members app>> Menu >> Support >> Send feedback >> Error Report >> Send system log file.

With these logs, our team could analyze the performance and errors on the device and if there is anything related to the Samsung update that you have installed recently, we would push a fix through an update.

I found a solution that worked for me for a few days now.

I think the problem is it turns out there's special, seemingly duplicate system apps for secure folder. So there's two bluetooth system apps - one for normal use and one that needs special permissions to access secure folder.

Go to settings>apps>secure folder>secure folder settings>apps
Now you can see all of the special duplicate apps that have a little secure folder icon on them.
Where it says your apps and there's a bunch of dots, click on the little filter/sorting icon and click show system apps.
Go to Bluetooth>battery>click on allow background activity to disable

I guess if you have stuff in your secure folder that you'd like to play over Bluetooth in the background, this might hinder that. I don't have that need, so this is a workaround that is compatible with my use.

Would be easier to fix if you could just change the permissions in either Bluetooth or secure folder, but it seems that's not an option in the stock OS.

Thank you for this. I'll add that on my Note 9 the actual culprit was Google Maps in the secured folder list. Having disabled this I haven't been harassed by the lock screen. I didn't need to adjust any Bluetooth app settings to fix it but I'll assume my car uses AA wireless.

To recap, go to settings>apps>secure folder>secure folder settings>apps. Tap Maps then Disable.

Thanks a lot, it works for me on Galaxy S9.

Open secured folder>3 dots>Parameters> apps>maps>disable

I am having the same problem in a 2022 GMC 2500. Has this been solved or is there an easy fix?

Yes I am having the same problem I upgraded from a 2019 Chevy Equinox did not offer wireless Android auto I had to plug my USB chord into the car and it worked without a problem never asked me for access to my secure folder at all I just upgraded to a 2022 Chevy Equinox and that uses Wireless Android auto from the very first day I drove off the dealership the very first connection it prompted me to try and enter my password for oh my secure folder it's called secure folder for reason so nothing has access to it and I've tried every setting in my phone and every setting in the call I've also deleted and reset every connection in the car I reestablished Bluetooth connection for five different times and still keeps on prompting secure folder three or four different times in a row no matter how many times I hit no or denied
