OneUI 8 DEX gamepad fix

After updating to OneUI 8 in DEX mode, the gamepad only works if the phone display is on. As soon as the phone display turns off, the gamepad partially stops working. Only some buttons work, but the D-pad and sticks stop working completely. Everything worked fine in OneUI 7. We need an update as soon is possible!

screen curtain to the rescue, screen curtain is one of Display Assistant feature from Good Lock, go try it from Galaxy Store

basically screen curtain will always turn on your screen with more black baground while your phone display still considered as on

I know about fix trough the developer mode but it's not good decision

Hello sir, please apologize for the obstacles.

Here's the short solution.

1. Enable "Stay Awake" in Developer options so that the phone screen does not turn off while in DeX.

2. Turn off Power Saving Mode in Battery settings.

3. If necessary, use the Caffeine / Keep Screen On app to keep the screen active.
4. Use a cable (OTG) if using a Bluetooth gamepad is still problematic.
