Change Date Format (tablet or phone)

I'd like to chance the date format to dd.mm.yyyy and not have the day of the week displayed. Is there a way to do this? Is the format locked into my language and location setting?

Hi, we would like to inform you that unfortunately the option to not show the day of the week is not applicable as it is a built-in configuration and cannot be changed. I hope you understand. however you can change the format to DD.MM.YY.

However, It would definitely be a nice feature to have.
So, we will consider it as feedback.

Hi, you can change the date format by following the given steps.
1. Go to the setting
2. Scroll down and touch Date and time under the System tab.

3. Set the date, time, time zone, time format, and date format.
