I just spent an hour downloading new Samsung Themes icon packs. Not a single one of them bothered to include an icon for any Google app - Gmail, Play Store, etc. It appears these packs contain approx. 30 icons, 25 of which are for apps no one uses in the western hemisphere.
Contrast this with your average Play Store icon pack, which contains THOUSANDS of icons, including every commonly used app, can be browsed and customized for individual apps. Plus the Play Store is 100x easier to browse than Galaxy Themes, obviously.
I'm starting to get annoyed that I pay for premium Samsung devices, and yet they arbitrarily limit me to these useless icon packs when I have good ones sitting on my phone. It's ugly, it's bad UX, and it's an accessibility problem.
I use a third party launcher and regular icon packs to get around this, but the recent apps screen and other UI elements still use the OneUI icons. So now those are mismatched with my launcher icons.
Samsung, please just let us use regular icon files like everyone else does. This is especially important now that Google has introduced their latest crime against accessibility (their rainbow colored icons that all look the same). Thank you.
Try using custom themes like HEX or Substratum with Nova Launcher & you can have virtually unlimited choices including theming Google's apps & icons. What's more, independent developers actually develop their themes & continuously, unlike Samsung's overpriced junk!
