Frame TV remote won't charge

My 2 month old frame TV's remote will not charge via plug in or solar. We luckily set up a phone to be a remote. Any ideas?

I am having the same issue as well. Won’t charge via solar and after it charges with UBS it lasts less than a day. I can no longer use my TV now as it won’t hold a charge now. Please help!

Hi Claudette can I do this as well? My frame tv remote is not holding any charge. Purchased in Jan 2024. Only works when it is plugged into the usb. Thanks

Hi - I have a 2021 Frame TV and my remote will not charge anymore.  Even after plugging it in by USB-C for 4 hours, the battery doesn't seem to hold a change and I get the below messgae.

I'm having the same issue, once charged it quickly runs out. I bought a 3 meter USB-C cable to keep it connected to power while using it so it doesn't run out.  Would have preferred a battery operated remote. The phone remote is a good idea though. 

Is there an option to buy a battery operated remote separately and use it with the Frame TV instead of the solar powered one?

E.g The Frame 2020, 2021, 2022 model.

Hi @fstbrkGP, can you try the following:

- Restart your TV by switching it off and unplug your TV from the power outlet for a minute. Then re-plug your TV back in and test whether the remote is responsive

- Hold the Back and Play/Pause buttons simultaneously for at least 5 seconds or until a message appears on your TV indicating that the remote is now connected. Test to see if your remote is responsive

- Point the remote towards yourcameraof your mobile phone and press the power button

- If you see the infrared light, turn on your TV using the power button on the TV directly. Then, try controlling the TV again by pointing the remote directly at the Samsung logo.
