Hey folks,

Is there an easy cheap way to get battery replacement for buds? I ask because I got burned really bad by samsung a couple years back.

I purchased galaxy buds pro 2 for 300 the week they launched and they worked well for about 5 weeks when battery failure occurred. I was a week out of return window at best buy (4 weeks) so my only option was samsung. Drove to nearest samsung repair center (2 hr drive) and dropped them off there to get fixed. Got a call from them saying battery not covered by warranty and they couldn't do anything. Instead of driving 4 hr round trip to get broken buds I just had them discard them.

I have only used cheap 30 dollar earphones since as I don't want to get burned again. May consider trying better sounding ones if I can learn how to do my own warranty repairs.

Anyone know where I can purchase parts for these?

From everything I have heard, the batteries in Earbuds can't be replaced (officially). I have heard that some people have attemptebd to change the batteries on their own, but mostly unsuccessfully.

I use Jabra Earbuds currently Elite Active 8 gen 2) but I have a 4 year old set of Elite Active 65t, which still last about an hour, with the case giving them about 3 Charges.

The Elite Active 8 Gen 2 Buds last FOREVER on a single charge! Absolutely love them!

Unlike the Elite 10, the Elite 8 Gen 2 are IP68 Dust & Water Proof. Plus they stay in my ears.. perfect for going for runs!

AMAZING sound as well!

Hi Szek,

We are sorry to hear about your experience with the Galaxy Buds Pro 2 and certainly understand how frustrating that must be for you. Unfortunately, Samsung warranty does not cover battery replacement.

Most earbuds are designed to be compact and waterproof, with the battery and other internal components glued or sealed inside. This makes it tough to open them up without damaging the delicate internal parts or risking water damage.

Thank you.
