I know this device is old at this point, but lately I've been having some very bizarre heart rate readings off my GW3. For example, I just went for a leisurely stroll (any slower and I would have been standing still) and it read my heart rate as high as 167 bpm, with an average of 115 bpm. I can promise you it was not that high; at 167 id have been panting, sweating profusely, and have difficulty speaking. None of which was the case. I just got over a flu, so I'm willing to accept it might be higher than usual, but not THAT high.

Other times, sitting still, it will give me readings of 90-100, despite my resting HR being closer to 60. I understand these are not medical devices and such readings should be taken with a grain of salt, but what's the point in using this device for the purpose of heart rate measurement when it tells me I'm on the verge of heart failure at every waking moment? Does anyone else have these issues, and if so, are there any solutions?

Hi, we request you to please follow the below steps once and check.

Check the watch's fit.
If the watch is too loose, or the sensor is dirty, it may have difficulty tracking your steps and heart rate.

Reboot the watch.
Press and hold the Home key (Power key) and Back key simultaneously for 7 seconds, until the watch displays "Rebooting." When the watch has finished booting, test the step and heart rate trackers.

Check for software updates.
If you are still having issues after rebooting your watch, check for software updates on your watch and the Galaxy Wearable app.

See additional tips for getting good results.
