Galaxy watch 7 missing GMAIL notifications

I have a S23 ultra and new galaxy watch 7. The watch does not recognize any Gmail notifications at all. This is not resolved by toggling notifications on/off or installing the Gmail app on the watch. After taking the devices into the Samsung store I was told this must be a software issue and have to wait for an update to resolve it. 

Of note, I use Gmail on my personal and work profiles on my s23. Notifications aren't received by the Gmail app on either profile. Deleting one or the other doesn't solve the issue either.

We kindly request you to send an error report using Galaxy wearable app.

Launch the Galaxy Wearable app > Tap on menu > Select Contact us > Tap on Error Reports > Select the device you would like to raise the error report for > Tap on Frequency > Choose between Once, Often or Sometimes > Tap on the text box and explain the issue you are facing with your Galaxy device > Once you are ready to send your error report select > Please ensure Send system log data is ticked.

An expert from the Samsung Members team will try and respond to the report as quickly as possible.

Meanwhile, we will also monitor this issue and communicate to the relevant team.

It isn't only you. I have the same issue and I've seen multiple threads about it on r/GalaxyWatch as well.

I also have a home and work profile, and what's odd is that Google Chat (as a seperate app, not the one built into Gmail), for example, works fine on both profiles. So it isn't an issue with the work profile. Chat built into Gmail doesn't work though.

Hopefully this gets fixed ASAP.

I'll be honest I've already returned the device. Based on what I've seen Gmail has not been functional on many galaxy watches dating back several generations. It is a critical function for me so the watch was useless without it. Once this is recognized as a more systemic issue and addressed as such (rather than individually), I would consider purchasing again.

I have the same annoying problem. Did you ever find a fix? Of note below that it seems to be all people with dual personal work profiles which is me as well.

Never found a fix so returned the device. Not confident it will ever be taken seriously and addressed

Hi has someone find the solution. I just got my Watch 7 and I also can not get the gmail notification. I actived them on the Galaxy wearable app, but when I go in the notification guide they are shown as blocked.
