Galaxy watch and s9 tablet

I bought a new galaxy watch 7, when I tried to connect it to my s9 tablet I realized that it's impossible to use it with tablet (strange...)

Also I can't connect it to my huawei P20.

Must I buy a new smart phone to use this smart watch ?

We are sorry to hear this from you. Unfortunately, the Galaxy Watch 7 requires a compatible smartphone to function properly. 

The Samsung Galaxy Watches (up to the latest model) are not compatible with any Samsung Galaxy Tablet. The Galaxy Watches are designed to work exclusively with smartphones, not tablets.

To use the Galaxy Watch 7 seamlessly, a Samsung smartphone or another Android phone meeting the minimum requirements (Android 10+) is recommended.

Please ensure it’s running Android 10. Even then, Huawei devices may have connectivity issues with Galaxy Wearables due to Huawei's restrictions.
