anyone know why notification stopped showing on the always on display screen? also double tapping the clock nothing happens

Go to settings > Display > Always On Display > Layouts. Make sure "Show Notifications" is enabled. As for me, I have an S7 so I can't help about the double-tapping the clock problem :(

disable that and disable aod display and restart your phone then re enable try that?
