Galaxy AHi, I am trying to find the setting to disable 5g on my phone (A53 5G).
It is not shown in networks.
If your carrier does not support 5G is it automatically disabled?
I have LTE/WCDMA/3G showing.
On my old phone (a32 5g) you could manually disable 5G.

Galaxy AShould be > Settings > Connections > Mobile Networks > Network Mode.
But if your device has 5G capability, you can not only disable 5G, you will also likely disable LTE.

Galaxy AThere is an option for disabling LTE and WCDMA.
5g does not even show on the list of networks.
The question was
Is 5G automatically disabled if not available on the carrier? (PublicMobile)
I do not want the phone to waste resources looking for 5G.

Galaxy AI know what the question was.
If you don't see 5G in the list of Networks, then it's not going to be "wasting resources" looking for it.
What I WAS saying is that, if 5G was listed, you couldn't JUST Disable 5G, you would also be disabling LTE.

Galaxy AHi, please check that network mode will be available automatically, you will need to check whether 5G is activated on the network and whether it is available at your location.
