How do I add a new folder to the Apps page?

Hello Everyone!

I am very new to Samsung. I've just received my Samsung A53 5G... and I'm struggling to understand everything!

Right now, I am trying to figure out how to create more folders in my Apps pages. Every time I click & hold an App icon to try and move it on top of another (to create a folder); the App instead creates a copy that appears in the Home pages.

My phone already came pre-loaded with four folders at the top of the first Apps page. One each for Google, Koodo, Microsoft & Samsung.

In order to move Apps into these folders - I need to first open the folder & select a plus (+) sign on top, to the right of a circle that can be used to change the folders colour.

Does anyone know how I can create a new folders in the Apps pages? I am & would be forever grateful for your help!

Just drag an app icon on top of another app icon. Folder will be created.

Thank you so much for replying! I completely understand your suggestion. This is exactly how I've been able to create folders in the Home pages (Home page + additional pages created to the right).

Unfortunately though, this technique does not work on the Apps pages... which are found below the Home pages.

When you swipe down, below the Home page landing page - you come to the landing page for the Apps pages. This is where all the downloaded apps are listed in alphabetical order. Unlike the Home pages - you cannot personalize how the Apps appear here.

When I select & hold an App icon in the Apps pages... instead of being able to drag it over another App icon to create a folder... it creates a copy of that App, and moves that copy above the Apps pages, to the Home pages. I've then tried to drag it back down to the Apps pages... but it won't let me do that.

This is why I am stuck! I've never come across anything like this before!!

Yes, you have to drag and hold, when app icon on top of another icon, release and folder will be created.

Also when the folder is created, once you open the folder you can tap on the top to rename the folder and also click on the colored circle to change the color of the folder :)

Hi, we recommend you. Restart the phone and try the same steps again to create a folder.

Nylah... please help me! No one is understanding what I'm saying. I created a 59 second screen recording of what's happening... but I can't add it to my post. 😭😭😭

You have to use the Web version of samsung samsung member canada ( https://r1.community.samsung.com/t5/canada/ct-p/ca?profile.language=en〈=en ) to post videos, you will have first to log in into your samsung account
