Hi All,
Has anyone had a problem with all their contacts calls coming in as "private"?
I just got this new phone a couple of weeks ago, and although all my outgoing calls show my contacts information, all incoming calls just show "private". I've tried all the settings for contacts and everything looks fine, just can't seem to figure this out.
BTW, texts all show contacts info and I've contacted my carrier. They were unable to fix the problem from their end.
Any information could really help...

Open your Dialer & Click on it's Settings (Top Right).

Do you have Caller ID & Spam Protection Toggled ON?

Hi, your Caller Line Identification may need to be activated. Please contact your Network Service provider to activate.

We request you to please follow the below steps once.

1. From the home screen, swipe either up or down to access apps.

2. Select Phone.

3. Select Tap on the 3 dots on the top right corner.

4. Select Settings.

5. Select Other call settings.

6. Push slider to activate Show caller information.

I've had this horrid problem the whole time I've had my A53, it's not every call, but only the important ones :{.  It doesn't even ring through.  These are in my contacts!  Many showing as private on dialer but Unknown on voice mail.  Not a good introduction to Samsung.  I am on Xfinity Mobile.  My settings are right, according to all info here, private and unknown supposed to ring through.  Xfinity couldn't help me and I have caller ID.  This is life-changing in a bad way and nonsense that I've had to live with it for over a year.  Never buying Samsung again (other reasons too, want my Motorola back!)  Help!

Xfinity is a US Carrier. This is Samsung  Members Canada. If you are in the US you might want to ask on Samsung Members US.

The difference is that it might be a Carrier issue, so since you are with a US Carrier, that's why I suggest that you post your question on Samsung Members US.
