I am an old Gmail user but I see some things in Samsung's email app such as "select all' that I like.  Gmail will archive emails in 'All mail" for a year.  My work around in the Samsung app is to create a folder called "ARCHIVE'" and put important stuff there.  The question is how long content will stay there.

Also, just searching the web for tutorials yields little on the Samsung email app.

Any pearls of wisdom on how long stuff stays before being deleted from any folder?

Hi Birdiemaker,

Samsung Email is an email client only. Therefore, your answer will depends on email provider settings. For instance, if it is Exchange ActiveSync, it won’s delete until you manually empty trash. POP3, some settings only hold for 14 days then delete from server. If it is GMail and you create a new folder, it won’t delete itself. But I would put 1 non important mail there and test it out if you are not sure.

Hi Birdiemaker,
Yes, Tallman is correct. It depends on the email service provider.
