does the fact that my phone never auto restarted despite having the reboot when needed setting enabled should make me doubt the usefulness of the function ? or is it just my phone working perfectly fine ?

Update: Galaxy Enhance-X will soon be available again, it's currently available in beta for the s23 series, and will be soon added to more S and A series phones

It's available now from apk mirror. 

And it installs & works on my S20 Ultra.

You might actually want to make a new post about Enhance-X, just so that more people have the opportunity to see it.

I don't see any place where you can see the last automatic restart any more but you can see how many hours your phone has been running under Settings, About Phone, Status information, Up time. Mine says 6+ days so I think that it is from the update restart last week.

Might have to check when we haven't recently got an update to know if they have automatically restarted
