Hello,
I have a Galaxy A15 5g. It's a great phone, love it. I'm looking for some input regarding the fingerprint scanner. It's quite sensitive and it works so quickly just very lightly laying my finger on it. It sort of makes me feel it may not be secure. I'm sure it's fine, but is this okay? Any input is welcome. Cheers, thanks a lot.

Hi kevinivek, the Galaxy A51 comes with high-tech biometric authentication. Double-checked by the side fingerprint sensor, your security is designed to be accessible only by your fingerprint which is fast and reliable.

Thank you.

The scanner on my 22 ultra is horrible.

You'd think on the 22 Ultra it would work great. Was it always like that? Maybe deleting your registered fingers and redoing them would help?! I don't know, just a suggestion.

Hi TrendKillerChris, please check for common issues with fingerprint recognition.

Make sure you are using a Samsung screen protector.

If the in-screen fingerprint sensor isn't working, it's possible that another screen protector has been installed on top. An uncertified screen protector may interfere if it covers or touches the in-screen fingerprint sensors.

If the screen protector was replaced with a non-Samsung-certified screen protector, you may need to register your fingerprints again.

Inspect the screen and fingerprint sensor for scratches and dirt. Scratches or dirt may cause recognition issues with the fingerprint sensor.

The phone may not recognize fingerprints that are affected by wrinkles or scars. Fingers that are particularly small or slim may also not be recognized.

If a phone case covers or touches the fingerprint sensor, or prevents your finger from touching it, it can interfere with the sensor's operation. The sensor may not work well if the phone is in an extremely hot or cold environment.

The device may not recognize fingerprints when the screen protector/protective film is not attached clearly and tightly on the device's screen. Air gaps or foreign substances between the protective film and screen may decrease the fingerprint recognition rate. We recommend you attach it again.

Thank you.
