UPDATE May 2023. Better late than never.

  • Credit where it is due and Samsung is due some credit .... One of the updates to my phone fixed this issue and now my friends and colleagues no longer comment that I sound like a robot on Bluetooth in my Honda

Thank you Sammy

Got a new a53 and it works well but it has an issue with Bluetooth connection in my Honda accord 2013.

It is not a problem with my Honda has my previous LG phone worked absolutely perfectly with it.

My a53 connects to my car just fine and plays music perfectly and connects calls perfectly also but my own voice is garbled by distortion when I try to speak to anyone over the phone.

This is almost certainly a software issue with the a53 as there would be much more reports if it was a problem with Android.

And yes you can find other people on the internet who have this exact same issue with the a53.

JJust just fix it please.

I have the same issue,  people tell me i sound like Joshua from War Games. I have a 2017 Toyota, the cheap **bleep** Motorola i had worked fine.  it actually isn't as bad with the engine off. Might have to trade for iPhone if there is no solution.

I had the same issue. I bought a new A53 on Sunday of this week and it was doing the same thing.. I ended up going back to the store and they gave me a replacement phone, the same exact model, and just switched my SIM card. The new phone works just fine while making calls from my car. There must be some bad units, rather the entire model.

Same issue with A53 on 2017 Rav4 - garbled robot voice. Haven't tried contacting Samsung yet, glad I read through all the posts before wasting time trying various fixes!

Will update if I have any luck.

I have the same issue as all those mentioned above. My A53 does the same thing. There is nothing wrong with my device. My wife and I got the same phone models and drive the same car and both of us are experiencing the garbled, robotic, cut out and interference. This is not a hardware issue or a car audio system issue. My previous S9 worked 100 percent flawlessly. The characterization of the problem mentioned in all of the comments above is consistent with my problem and is a legitimate widespread issue with the Samsung A53/android 12. This needs to be resolve by software update since it is clearly not isolated.

Edit:

I forgot to mention, if Samsung does not fix this problem within the return period for Costco, I'll just return both units and get another model. You've had since as early as May so my early assessment of this is not good.

I'm expecting a response to know that Samsung support has at least acknowledged and are working to resolve.

Anybody from Samsung viewing this Community Feed? Or what do we need to do in order to get this on their radar screen other than waisting our time with chat or phone support!

Samsung will do nothing about this issue and they're already got away without dealing with it.

There's not enough people that can figure out that Samsung's at fault in this issue.... They'll blame Android the blame their Bluetooth audio system in their car there's just too many variables to figure out unless you are using a previous phone in the same car....

Most will say Androids just like that....

It's August 16th 2022 and yet another Samsung system update rules out to my a53 and yet again the Bluetooth issue is not fixed and there still isn't a single word from Samsung on this thread why not.

J'ai le même problème avec mon A53 et j'ai fait ma mise à jour sur mon radio Corolla 2018

The August 16, 2022 didn't fix this issue and I've also noticed that the sound out becomes robotic sometimes randomly when doing a voice or video call with apps such as Whatsapp. Is Samsung going go fix this issue?

Same garble with wife's A53 with Subaru Outback. Strange that my A51 works perfect
