Google duo update missing app

On my a50 I have a pending update for Google duo an app I never installed but noticed after updating to Android 10.

When I look at my installed apps Google duo is not present. 

How can an update be pending for an app not installed?

Hi @SamSungtw.

From the home screen, tap the Google folder and check if Google duo is still there. 

Also, try to clear the Google Play Store cache and check. Follow the below steps:

Open Settings >> Apps >> Google Play Store >> Storage >> Clear Cache.

Get back to us with the result.

There Google folder has no Google duo. clearing cache has no affect on the pending update. I have never installed Google duo.

On your device Google Duo is not listed as "Google Duo" - It's listed as "Duo" - So on your device it is listed starting with the letter "D" & not "G" - It is installed on your device - Just not where you were looking.

You can also see your Play Store installed apps by - Opening the Play Store - "Hamburger Menu" Top Left - My Apps & Games - Installed.

Thanks for the response and this is also one option. But what I think is, he is looking for Google Duo App in the installed list and Shaggyskunk1 is correct he needs to check in alphabetical order starting with the letter "D".

it is Google duo. Checking rubber update shows the name and pending update.

I have no intention of installing an update for an application not on my phone.

There is no app installed called Google duo as a system app. The search finds only duo installer. The Google duo app doesnt exist..

incorrect. The app Google duo was not installed and not identified. duo installer suggest a installer app if you want the app Google duo installed.

I will not install an update that is not properly identified.
