I just updated my Galaxy A51 to android 13 after the update was pushed to my device a few days ago. After the update, I realized I couldn't turn on my hotspot, so I did a network reset, and configured the band to 5gz as it was previously, but the problem persisted still. So I set it to the default 2.4ghz and it will work well. I don't know how to fix this, I was using the hotspot on the 5ghz band on the previous OS with no issues whatsoever. Any suggestions on how I can get this fixed, please?

Try get into recovery mode and do Wipe Cache Partition.

- Power off your phone
- Press and hold vol up and power key until you are in recovery mode
- use vol up and down to navigate
- select Wipe Cache Partition
- press power key to confirm
- click yes
- click reboot system

Is your mobile hotspot button grey out? What do you mean by couldn't turn on your hotspot? Can you cannect using 2.4GHz ?

No, my mobile hotspot button is not greyed out, I can turn it on when I change the configuration to 2.4GHz and it works, I can connect devices to it. But once I change it to 5GHz, the button won't toggle on at all, this was working before I updated to One UI 5(Android 13)

You may need to do a full backup using SmartSwitch and do a factory reset on your phone. Because network reset and wipe cache partition won't help.

So I finally did a factory reset, and guess what? It is still not fixed. i am starting to think it is a bug with the new update. I wiped the cache partition, reset the network, and now factory reset, but the problem is still not solved, I will like to know if anyone else with the same device has this problem after the update.

I tried all the solutions above, wiped the cache partition, reset the network, and did a factory restore of the phone, and I still can't turn my hotspot on when the band is changed to 5Ghz.
