Make and receive no calls

I have a SamsungA32 and after the recent samsung update I can now not make or receive calls.
My son has worked out a temporary work around by briefly putting it in flight mode and back out. I can then operate like normal, but after a while it goes back to the same situation. I've checked settings etc and can't see anything obvious.
Any ideas or has someone else had the same issue?
TIA

Phones connect to a cell tower through Access Point Name software (APN). Sometimes an update defaults to a previous APN or has left over code in a cache which interferes with functions.

On the main Community page, top right, use the search option to search for APN, or clear cache. Read several of the posts as some of the fixes are more detailed.

skyis blue. I am confused "My emails playing silly too" are you another member adding an email issue to a phone issue? The suggestion I made could apply here too, on the other hand there are other possible reasons not relevant to the phone issue, like settings failures. Depending upon your email software you may well have a temporary alternative option, accessing via your browser. Also using the search option I referred to you can do a search on key words like email,

I suggest a separate post with more detail. I also don't understand "Sim 3rd required why it's an issue"

I have the Samsung Galaxy A22 (not 5g version) as does my husband.  We BOTH have exactly the same problem and have had for 3-4 weeks now.  Flight mode on/off, reboot phone and reset Network settings (done by Telstra staff instore) all work for up to 1/2 an hour.  Thought it was a Telstra planned maintenance issue locally with work on towers BUT that finished on Saturday.  Then a Samsung update came through this morning so thought that may fix it but NO!!  Did fix but failed again within 1/2 hour!!  The only way we know someone has tried to call is if they leave a voice mail, send us an sms or we receive a 'missed call' message.  I have just sent feedback in Samsung Members with a log file so hoping for help.  If there's anyone here who has successfully fixed this problem please advise!  cheers, Pam

Hi saladodger

Did you get a fix for this problem?  I have the same issue as does my husband.  Been like it for 3-4 weeks on and off.

cheers

Thanks, I think I found something yesterday on YouTube. I'm just waiting to see if my phone behaves itself for a full day. Basically held down the phone app icon, then clicked info to bring up storage and then deleted phone and data cache, even though it gives you warnings. No data or contacts lost. So far seems like it might be a winner. Hopefully this may help you too.

Oh thanks so much.  Will be really brave (not) and see how you go 🙂  I've stressed way too long over this issue and tried everything I could find ... I'm usually pretty good with tech stuff but getting way too old I think 🙂

cheers

Pam
