Make and receive no calls

I have a SamsungA32 and after the recent samsung update I can now not make or receive calls.
My son has worked out a temporary work around by briefly putting it in flight mode and back out. I can then operate like normal, but after a while it goes back to the same situation. I've checked settings etc and can't see anything obvious.
Any ideas or has someone else had the same issue?

I used to look at that (blue tick),but not any more. Doesn't seem to make a difference.I don't think mine is, but I think I may have mine finally working.
For four days now it's been A okay.
This is what I did if you want to try it:
Setting
General management
Reset (NOT factory reset)
Reset all settings
* before the final Reset I di a temp cloud backup, but really not many settings changed after and didn't seem to lose anything.
Day 4 and still working 🙂

Thanks heaps Mal.  I see there is quite a bit of media activity relating to these issues so we'll also see what comes of that.  Will wait until I get 'final' results from Telstra tech investigation (it was only escalated to tech 2 days ago!!) and if no luck with them will try your 'fix'.  I sure hope yours stays fixed.  Have a great night and thanks again.

Hi Mal. Just out of interest was this a permanent fix. Haven't tried it yet and still have issues.

Oh well done. Will give it a try then. Still waiting for Telstra to finish tower *** .. by the 23rd and we will see if that does anything first. So happy yours is fixed. Have a great day.

Hi Mal.  Groan, tried your reset all settings fix on Ken's phone.  Process was fine but within 10 minutes had no VoLTE again.  Ombudsman mob contacted me again today to fill out ANOTHER form and they'll reconnect with me within 5 business days.  I think they know I've almost given up.  Anyway, just updating you here in case anyone else is following and wanting to know where things are at.

I actually think the blue tick thing might be related to phones with 3G which had better country coverage, but was slower. However 3G is no longer an option
