I think you can use Samsung Message app. But need to download from Galaxy Store.

Yes, as said by Tallman you can use Samsung Messages, it may not be pre-installed, but you can usually download it from the Galaxy Store and set it as your default messaging app via Settings > Apps > Choose default apps > SMS app.

Hey tallman, I looked on play store but all I saw was these weird apps that reviews said had a bunch of ads and stuff...

It hurts that Samsung Messages will not be getting RCS support. I prefer it over a mile to Google messages.
