I had a LG Velvet and I was able to use the NFC fonction fine on it. Now that I switched to Samsung, I got the A14 and the spec on the manual says that the NFC is available on it. However, when I can't even find it the settings. Is this normal ?

Should be:

Settings > Connections > NFC & Contactless Payments & Toggle it On.

It should also be available in your QS Tiles, although you may need to Edit the QS Tiles to add it.

I tried that already but when I get into connections, there is no NFC option only Wi-Fi and Bluetooth...

It could be that it has been disabled by Samsung Canada, or your Canadian Carrier?

Do you know if it's possible to reinstall it ?

Possibly with adb commands, but I don't know what it's code name is, it could be something as simple as "NFC"?

I would contact your Carrier and ask them if they are the ones who disabled it.

What is the model number of your device, ie: SM-xxxxx in Settings > About Phone?

That's not a Canadian device, so that is probably why NFC isn't available for you.

That is the International version.

I'm guessing that you purchased it from Amazon or eBay, or you purchased it abroad.

Amazon & eBay frequently sell non Canadian devices on their websites.

So there is no way of installing the NFC function on international devices ?

I'm thinking that because it's an international variant, and you are with a Canadian Carrier, it's the Canadian Carrier that has disabled it.

I know that some of the Canadian Carriers have been known to be difficult, even with Canadian devices, but if you didn't buy it from them, you have to fight to get WiFi Calling, VoLTE etc.

With an international device, it's extremely unlikely that you will get anywhere with them.

Maybe the only thing that you can do, would be to Root the device, and Flash a Custom Rom that has NFC enabled..?
