Galaxy ASounds like you didn't Flash the CP file with Odin.
When you use Odin to Flash your device, it's always best to Flash each of the 4 one at a time & wait for the "PASS", before Flashing the next one.
I always Flash in this order: AP - BL CP & CSC
You WILL be FORCED to Factory Reset the device.
Hopefully you have a backup somewhere.
When I refer to having a backup, it's only for your apps, settings, data etc.
Restoring a backup will never restore the IMEI & Baseband, they have to be Flashed with Odin. That's why when you Factory Reset, restoring from a backup, that was even from a different Android version, will never revert the Android version.

Galaxy AIf you don't have the IMEI or Baseband, either you Flashed the incorrect Firmware, or the Flash Failed.
Flashing the CORRECT Firmware is EXACTLY the help you need.
Happy Trails.

Galaxy AYou'll probably have to Flash the Partition Information Table (PIT) file to get your phone back.
I don't know why you would have erased the Partitions from your device?
If you thought you needed to in order to Flash the US Firmware on your Canadian device, you didn't, and should not have.
You can Flash the PIT file with Odin. Make sure that you have the latest version of Odin on your computer.
And you KNOW that you HAVE to use Patched Odin to Flash your device with the US Firmware?

Galaxy AV
Burned away everything but preloader (sp flash tool download+format). Added a few partitions with "python mtk"... got it to Factory Mode (not odin mode)... still screwed
FYI:
persist
persistent
frp
metadata
userdata
Wipe only those for any assistance with accounts after reset
