When I enter my PIN it only allows numeric values and no text combinations for the PIN.

Why is there no text and numeric PIN values? This should be in the next security update.

Password is right there. Guess it depends on how paranoid you are.

Wouldn't that turn it into a password? PINs are usually numeric, like, ATM pin, CVV2 etc., 😃

There are other phones that have this capability. My old phone is one of them. More importantly it is more secure when the password is more complex.

a pin as no letters thats why its called a pin. personal identification number

well you can use password instead of PIN if you want to use alphabets, PIN is a number whereas password can be a combo of alphabets and digits

Actually, on Windows 10 setting Hello Pin allows to use both numeric and letters. Don't know why Microsoft would have that, but then we are talking MS, where things are weird. 😃
