Galaxy AHi, please try the below steps to remove the pin code and get back to us with the results.
Tap on Apps
Now tap on the Settings icon and then tap on the Device option
Tap on the Lock screen and then tap on the Screen lock
Now enter and confirm the saved PIN screen lock.
Tap on None to disable PIN screen lock. Please check if you have this option on the device."

Galaxy ATry using Face regconition or Finger print for unlock if you don't want to type everytime.
Or set up Bixby routine to unlock your phone while you are at home. See screenshot.

Galaxy AThere doesn't seem to be a 'Device' option!
And when I get to 'Lock Screen' there is no "None" to disable PIN screen lock
Ah well, thanks for trying.
I'm going to change my password to IHATESAMSUNG.
At least I'll feel better.

Galaxy AI know this is over a year old but i figured id post some updated insite.
the directions you've been given already are correct. you got to settings then lock screen then select none or swipe.
but the post below by Tallman is alright but you don't need routines to unlock your phone when your home.
below the lock type in the same settings I mentioned above you should see smart lock. input your password and there you go. see images below.

Galaxy Athe directions you've been given already are NOT correct. you got to settings then lock screen then YOU CANNOT select none or swipe. IT DOESN'T EXIST!
