Hi sharonrigs,

It sounds like you've had quite a night—sorry to hear you're stuck in a boot loop after all that effort. Since your Galaxy Book4 was left in BIOS and the kids may have changed some settings, here are a few steps you can try to get things back on track:

  1. Reset BIOS to Default Settings

    • Power on the device and enter BIOS (usually by pressing F2 or Del during startup).

    • Look for an option like “Load Setup Defaults” or “Reset to Default” and confirm.

    • Save and exit (usually F10).

  2. Check Boot Order

    • In BIOS, ensure your boot drive (usually the SSD or Windows partition) is listed first in the boot priority list.

  3. Disable Secure Boot (if enabled)

    • In BIOS, navigate to the Security or Boot tab.

    • Disable Secure Boot and save changes.

  4. Try Recovery Mode

    • Power off the device completely.

    • Press and hold the Power + Volume Up buttons (or Power + F4, depending on your model) to enter recovery.

    • Select “Advanced Options” → “Startup Repair” or “System Restore” if available.

  5. Use a Bootable USB Drive

    • If nothing else works, create a Windows installation USB

    • Boot from the USB and choose “Repair your computer” → “Startup Repair.”

If you’re still stuck, visiting a Samsung Experience Store might be the fastest way to get hands-on help. Their technicians can check for any BIOS-level issues or hardware conflicts.

Wait until you have to boot into safe mode and windows wont accept your password and you are forced into a bootloop
