Galaxy BooksMy old Galaxy Book had issues with the battery and a dead usb port. I was able to use it as long as I kept it plugged in and used an alternate port to keep the battery charged enough to boot. When a trade in credit of $500 was offered I jumped to upgrade my laptop. I followed the process and checked all of the boxes. I reset the computer, boxed it up, and sent it on it's way. I received a notice that I would get verification of the trade in in 14 days. Now months later I am told that my old laptop failed the test. They said it wouldn't boot. Now I am being told that I will have to pay the $500 trade in allowance. No options for arbitration no real information other than a few unlabeled photographs. I'm at a loss as what to do next. If they plugged it into a usb port that worked, it would boot. That's how I had used it for months. I do know that the battery would have fully discharged in weeks so they would need to recharge the battery through a usb port that worked for it to boot. I am very dissatisfied with this whole process.

Galaxy BooksI don't really know if you should be surprised.
It seems that you were trying to take advantage (pull a fast one), hoping that your laptop would boot.
If you would have included the instructions on how to make it boot, maybe.. but I don't think that it's reasonable to expect the people who evaluate trades, to know the specific methods required for your old laptop to work.

Galaxy BooksHi cyberwoodsmith,
We are very sorry to hear this from you. We would like to inform you that it is as per the terms and conditions of the trade-in.
Unfortunately, as the device battery is dead it is not eligible for trade-in as it is not in working condition.
Thank you.
