After updating oneui, noted battery drained after updating it last night.

Usually when i use fast charging😅 charger with previous update, in munites u can see fast chrging within minutes but last night i charged it 2300 from 50% then woke up 733am n noted its only 99%😮 then unplugged it, and using it for less than 5 mins, 99%is dropping now its 96%

🔋 even i don't charge for how many days even with streaming battery last days longer. Hopefully😅 this updates on next🙏 schedule updating

Pls advice how to keep battery🔋 longer like previous update?

Hi annsn10plus,

We are sorry to your experience after the recent One UI update. It’s understandable how frustrating that can be—especially when your device previously held a charge well and fast charging worked as expected.

After a major software update, the system usually goes through a period of background optimization—this includes re-indexing files, optimizing app data, and recalibrating battery usage. This process can take 1–3 days, during which you may notice unusual battery behavior.

Tips to Help Improve Battery Life:

Give it Time to Settle. Keep an eye on usage for the next 24–48 hours. Performance often improves after this initial period.

Restart Your Device. A simple restart can help background processes settle more cleanly post-update.

Check Battery Usage: Go to Settings > Battery > Usage since last full charge. Look for any apps draining battery unexpectedly and consider force stopping or updating them.

Clear Cache Partition (safe, no data loss)

Power off your phone

Hold Power + Volume Up until the Samsung logo appears

Use volume buttons to navigate to Wipe cache partition

Confirm with Power button, then reboot

Review Background Activity: Go to Settings > Battery > Background usage limits. Enable Put unused apps to sleep and review apps in Sleeping apps.

Disable Always-On Display (AOD) or reduce brightness. Every bit helps, especially if the system is still optimizing.

Regarding Charging: Charging to 98% and not reaching 100% overnight may be due to battery protection settings or background activity interrupting the charge cycle. Check: Settings > Battery > More battery settings. Look for Protect battery (limits charge to 85%) — make sure it’s off if you want a full charge. Try charging once while the phone is off to see if it reaches 100%.

Appreciate your patience and hope performance stabilizes soon!
