I have a frustrating problem. When I try to forward an email with attachments through the Gmail App (on my Note 9) the attachments don't stay attached. Make sense? The recipient receives email with no attachments. I checked the size of the email attachment and it's usually a few megs nothing huge. Any ideas?

Also, has your Gmail app been updated? can you forward an email (do not hit the send button) and take a screenshot and post it so I can see what you're seeing. Edit the screenshot so that there's no personal info.

Hi Yielar, are you able to tell if your recipient using Gmail as well? Or your recipient is using a corporate email? If it is corporate email, it could be spam filter from the company removed the attachment due to trigger their spam filter rules. I tested with my Gmail to other domain, no problem to attached pdf file and send from Gmail.

The weird thing is it's only on my Note 9. I can forward from my laptop using Gmail to the address no problem with attachments

Yes, very wierd. I do not have solution yet. However, do you mind trying do some troubleshooting steps?

Are you able to forward other file types? like jpg, docx, txt...etc.

I have also did google search. Seems to be this is a known issue for Gmail app in Android.

"I have the same issue with my new pixel 3. i.e. when I try to forward an email with an attached file (like a pdf) the attachment is not included. I noticed if I forward emails with pictures the images to get forwarded.

I am going to do a complete reset on the phone to see if that works.

I did notice that if I installed Google Inbox email client that it worked fine and forwarded the attachments as expected."

Thanks. I did try forwarding an email with attachments to my wife on her Hotmail account and it worked. I'm going to install BlueMail and see if it's a Gmail app problem or not. I'll report back
