Galaxy NoteHi, We would like to inform you that If your phone's battery capacity is low, features or apps that require more power may cause the device to suddenly restart.
This measure is designed to protect the battery.
We recommend you to check whether the Auto restart at set times option is set.
1. Open Settings, search for 'Auto Restart at set times'
2. Disable Auto Restart Alternatively, adjust the time set to be more convenient to avoid surprises If the option is set, your device will restart automatically within 1 hour of the time you set.
Or
You can Check the power key.
You can Remove any cases or accessories that may interfere with any buttons on your Galaxy Note 20 and Check the Power key or Side key for normal movement.
There should be a slight, but distinct clicking feeling when pressing the button.
If the key is jammed, it could cause unexpected shutdowns

Galaxy NoteYou got that they said ,that the restart issue happens ,regardless of whether or not the device is plugged in ?
"Happened when plugged in, aswell as not plugged in."
So the battery's charge level ,isn't likely to be the cause of the restarts .
Think that there's been a bunch of posts on this topic now ¬ sure what other suggestions could be made .

Galaxy NoteDid you read their entire post?
"There's no automatic restart programmed. Sometimes in the night and some other times in the day... I've seen multiple posts about this on Reddit".
While it's possible that they inadvertently enabled auto restart, they are saying that they have not.

Galaxy NoteHi Michael_Rs2018, please perform safe mode and verify if the issue is fixed.
To enter Safe Mode, please perform the following:
1.First, completely power off the phone.
2.Then, power on the phone and when the Samsung logo appears, press and hold down the Volume down key.
3.If done correctly, "Safe Mode" will display on the bottom left corner of the screen. If "Safe Mode" does not appear, repeat the steps above.
4.Once you are in Safe Mode, you can remove the third-party app that is causing issues on your phone.
5.To exit Safe Mode, simply restart your phone and it will reboot normally.
